A native of southeastern Pennsylvania, Jay McCumber has a passion for developing healthy cultures of
leadership by working with leaders and within leadership systems. The Emporia Group offers
coaching and consulting to businesses and non-profit groups through development of healthy leaders and leadership cultures. The Emporia Group specializes in equipping and empowering healthily integrated leaders through focus on the leader’s identity/mission, emotional health, and core competencies.
As President and Lead Consultant, Jay’s work is primarily with executive and senior management teams, coaching and consulting business leaders with strong emphasis on organizational health and leader development. Jay specializes in serving family businesses and their leadership teams by strengthening the family as a family, serving the consultative needs of the enterprise, and building strategic paths and spaces for the two to healthily interface.
Jay’s undergraduate education is in theology and psychology, and he holds an MBA in Strategic Management from Temple University. He lives in North Coventry, Pennsylvania, with Sheri, his wife of 25 years. Father of three grown children, Jay is a lover of books, sports, and music, who most enjoys working outdoors, adventures, and travel with his family.
